shells and rain

Playing the mussels as we're going down, through blue pools (6 x 6")

I made this etching based on a photograph that I took while I was at Bean Hollow beach in Pescadero. It's an awesome beach with funny dimpled rocks and great tide pools. I always picture myself being small enough to swim in the little pools with the crabs and mussels and sea urchins. There's something about water, and the smallness of the tide pools that I love.
It's been raining a lot here, but the sun came out today and made me happy. I don't mind the rain but it's nice to feel the sun on your skin and see its brightness. This week I'm working on some pieces for my next exhibition and getting ready for my final MFA review before graduation! Only a few weeks away...

This is an awesome print.
I love the technique.
Do you have more 'seascapes'?
Can't wait to see your next addition.

Betsy, your perspectives are unique and original - both in pictures and words.
Nice work.

Both your pictures and your words are profound and touching. Thanks for reminding me that there ARE people out there who have souls to bear. I'm all eyes and ears.
